The Kreis- und Stadtsparkasse Hof ( Sparkasse Hof for short ) was the public savings bank in the Bavarian town of Hof and the district of Hof . On August 12, 2009 it was incorporated into the Sparkasse Fichtelgebirge and the name was changed to Sparkasse Hochfranken on August 1, 2009.

organization structure

The Sparkasse Hof is an institution under public law . The legal basis is the Savings Banks Act for Bavaria and the articles of association issued by the Sparkasse's administrative board . The organs of the Sparkasse are the board of directors and the administrative board.

history

The Stadt- und Kreissparkasse Hof was created from the merger of the former Stadtsparkasse Hof with the Kreissparkasse Hof. The institute existed until the end of 1993 and at that time merged with the Sparkasse Naila-Münchberg-Schwarzenbach / S.-Helmbrechts .

Up to this point in time, the Sparkasse in Hof saw itself primarily as a municipal financial institution under public law, in both the logo the Sparkasse symbol was accented with an individual design element (bar) that could also be seen in the branches and the main office. Such as B. used by many other mainly urban savings banks (z. B. Sparkasse Cologne) also kept the color blue for a long time - z. B. as the color of the savings books.

Further predecessor institutes:

Kreissparkasse Hof, officially: Sparkasse Naila-Münchberg-Schwarzenbach / S.-Helmbrechts

The savings banks with the old district of Hof and the former district of Münchberg and the United Savings Banks in the district of Naila had merged to form the Kreissparkasse Hof . The savings banks in the former district of Rehau did not belong to the former Kreissparkasse Hof. They merged with the Sparkasse Selb and until August 12, 2009 belonged to the Sparkasse Fichtelgebirge - another of the predecessor institutes of today's Sparkasse Hochfranken.

United savings banks in the Naila district

The savings bank organization in the former Naila district was created in 1937 through the merger of the communal savings banks in the district. One of these savings banks was the Stadtsparkasse Lichtenberg, founded in 1875 .

The Stadt- und Kreissparkasse Hof, which existed until the end of 1993, merged with the Sparkasse Naila-Münchberg-Schwarztenbach / S.-Helmbrechts to form the Kreis- und Stadtsparkasse and thus covered both the urban area of the independent city of Hof and the district from that point on Courtyard completely (except for the Rehau area). With the merger (integration) with the Sparkasse Fichtelgebirge to form Sparkasse Hochfranken, the districts of Hof with the city of Hof and the district of Wunsiedel are looked after by the new institute.
