List of savings banks in Germany

The Kreissparkasse Höchstadt ad Aisch was a public credit institute based in Höchstadt in Bavaria . It was founded in 1853 as a savings and aid fund for the Höchstadt district court . Their business area was the former district of Höchstadt an der Aisch .

On July 1, 2017, the Kreissparkasse Höchstadt and the Stadt- und Kreissparkasse Erlangen merged to form the Stadt- und Kreissparkasse Erlangen Höchstadt Herzogenaurach .

organization structure

The Kreissparkasse Höchstadt was an institution under public law . The legal bases were the Savings Banks Act , the Bavarian Savings Banks Code and the statutes issued by the Sparkasse owner . The organs of the Sparkasse were the executive board and the administrative board. The district of Erlangen-Höchstadt was responsible for the Kreissparkasse Höchstadt .

Business alignment

The Kreissparkasse Höchstadt operated the universal banking business as a savings bank .

Offices

In addition to the main office on the historic market square of Höchstadt, the Kreissparkasse Höchstadt had branches in Adelsdorf, Dechsendorf, Großenseebach, Hemhofen, Heßdorf, Höchstadt Süd, Lonnerstadt, Mühlhausen, Münchaurach, Röttenbach, Schlüsselfeld, Wachenroth, Weisendorf and Zentbechhofen as well as two self-service centers in Gremsdorf and Neuhaus.

Savings Banks Finance Group

The Kreissparkasse Höchstadt was part of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe. The Sparkasse therefore sold, for example, home loan and savings contracts from LBS, open investment funds from Deka and brokered insurance from the Bavarian Insurance Chamber. The Bayerische Landesbank performed the function of the savings bank central bank .

Special feature in the business area

In Schlüsselfeld , contrary to the usual convention that savings banks do not compete with one another, the business area of Sparkasse Bamberg overlaps with that of Kreissparkasse Höchstadt. The reason for this is that in the course of the regional reform in 1978, the city of Schlüsselfeld moved from the Erlangen-Höchstadt district to the Bamberg district, which is the business area of the Sparkasse Bamberg. For example, a Sparkasse Bamberg was opened directly at the existing branch of the Kreissparkasse Höchstadt, but the Höchstadter was retained because the key fields commuting to Höchstadt in particular had their accounts there. After the opening of the newly built office of the Kreissparkasse Höchstadt in 2012, the competitive situation has eased somewhat, as there is now a greater gap between the two savings banks within Schlüsselfeld.

Other offices such as the one in Dechsendorf (Erlangen district since 1972) remained outside the redesigned district after the regional reform, but there is no competitive situation here.
