The Kreuzjoch is a 2395 meter high mountain in Verwall , in the municipality of Schruns , in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg in the Montafon region .
Ascents
From the valley station of the mountain railway in Schruns, you initially hike over roads, later on farm and forest paths in four to five hours to the summit of the Kreuzjoch.
From the Kapellalpe ( 1850 m ) the “ Seeweg ” leads past a reservoir, the Schwarzsee ( 2105 m ) and the Herzsee in around two and a half hours over the Kreuzjoch-Sattel ( 2380 m ) to the summit.
After taking the Panorama Bahn up , it takes around thirty minutes from the mountain station ( 2375 m ) to the summit of the Kreuzjoch.
Summit cross
The summit cross of the Kreuzjoch at an altitude of 2395 m was erected in 1957 by the Schruns Catholic youth and taken over by the Schruns fire brigade in 2006 .
