The Kreuzschlepper in the Kirchtal in Münnerstadt , a town in the Lower Franconian district of Bad Kissingen , is one of the Munich monuments and is registered in the Bavarian Monument List under number D-6-72-135-91 .

history

According to the inscription on the back of the intermediate piece, the Kreuzschlepper was built in 1755; the initials "MS" are also given. After the memorial, the hallway on which it is located was named "Kreuzschlepper".

The round column is located on a 33 centimeter high base plate. The column is 140 centimeters high, structured by annular beads and ends with a block capital. The Christ figure, laid down wide, is up to 70 centimeters high. The following inscription is located on the 65 centimeter wide intermediate piece:

"O PEOPLE STHE STYLE VNT SCHAVE ME TO
GETENCK WHAT I SINN FOR ME GETHAN
TAS TEINE TRAINING ABOUT THAT
I HAP TAS CREUTZ
TURNED VNT SURVEYED MANY PLAGUE"

Nowadays the St. Mark's procession takes place every year at the end of April. It begins at the St. Maria Magdalena Church and leads to the Talkirche . Halfway there, she stops at the Kreuzschlepper and at the nearby Hohe Kreuz .
