Crawl title
A crawl title is the horizontal insertion of a text into the television picture as ticker . In contrast, scrolling titles run vertically through the image.
It is often used by news broadcasters to integrate current news as a news ticker into the current program. Also Broadcast on TV shows are often depicted as crawling. Other uses are share prices or self-promotion for subsequent programs, telephone numbers for promotions or notices of program changes.
The crawl title is inserted into the picture with a font generator , mostly at the bottom of the picture.
