The Warrior Peak is a mountain in the south of the West Antarctic Alexander Island . It looms between The Obelisk and the Staccato Peaks .
The American polar explorer Lincoln Ellsworth took the first aerial photographs in 1935. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him after Lieutenant Commander Charles J. Krieger of the United States Navy , commander of a Lockheed C-130 Hercules of the Navy squadron VXE-6 in Operation Deep Freeze in 1969 and 1970.
