War memorial (Bollendorf)
The war memorial in Bollendorf , a local community in the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate , was erected in 1925. The war memorial on Kirchstrasse in front of the Church of St. Michael , which was built in memory of those who died in the First World War , is a protected cultural monument .
The sculpture of the Archangel Michael with a sword, who defeats Satan , stands on a rectangular stone column ( Rev 12 : 7–9 EU ). On the base it says: "The hero from Bollendorf".
The monument is framed by a stone colonnade with decorative flower reliefs and the inscription: "Fallen for ... and honor".
