Design and history
The war memorial is a stele made of field stones. A plaque is set in the stele.
On April 5, 1813, there was a battle between Prussia and Russia with 20,000 men on one side and France with 35,000 men on the other. The battle at Möckern was won by the allies Prussia and Russia despite the inferior troop strength. This war memorial was erected in honor of the fallen.
