The Riesdorf war memorial is a listed war memorial in the Riesdorf district of the city of Southern Anhalt in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments it is recorded as a monument with registration number 094 70240 .

General

The war memorial in Riesdorf stands on an open space south of the town's church . It is a white-painted stele on a multi-tiered base that was erected in memory of the fallen soldiers of World War I and World War II . The war memorial is crowned by a dove . Four memorial plaques are embedded in the stele, which contain an inscription and the names of the fallen soldiers. North of the war memorial is the Riesdorf memorial stone for those who died in the Wars of Liberation .
