The Thalheim war memorial is a listed war memorial in the Thalheim district of the city of Bitterfeld-Wolfen in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments it is recorded as a monument with registration number 094 96533 .

General

The war memorial in Thalheim is located on Ernst-Thälmann-Platz , northeast of the town's church . Part of the war memorial is part of the cemetery wall. The war memorial for the fallen of the two world wars consists of two parts.

On the one hand, from a stele on a multi-level base for the fallen soldiers of the First World War . There is an inscription on the front and the names of the fallen are engraved on the side.

The other part is a wall with six memorial plaques for those who fell in World War II . The names of the fallen are given on five of the six tablets. The sixth panel is wider than the others and contains an inscription.
