Krinitz is a district of the municipality Milow , Amt Grabow in the district of Ludwigslust-Parchim in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany).

The place in the southwest of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania borders in the east on the state of Brandenburg and lies on the state road between Eldena and Lenzen . The Meynbach flows around the place coming from the east, where it flows north of Krinitz into the Alte Elde , which in turn touches the place in the west.

history

Krinitz was first mentioned in 1544 as Crinitz. The place initially belongs to Brandenburg, from July 25, 1952 to the Schwerin district. On January 1, 1974, Krinitz was incorporated into Gorlosen . On the initiative of the residents, the municipality with the district of Görnitz was able to achieve independence from May 1, 1990. It was not incorporated into Milow until June 13, 2004.
