Krishnan Raghavachari

Krishnan Raghavachari (born April 3, 1953 in Madras , India ) is an Indian chemist and physicist .

Raghavachari received his BSc from the University of Madras in 1973 and an MSc from the Indian Institute of Technology in 1975 . He received his PhD in chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University in 1981 . He then went to Bell Laboratories until 2002 and has been Professor of Chemistry at Indiana University since 2002 .

The research areas are chemical bonds in small clusters, investigations of semiconductors with computers and materials in the nano range.
