Kristian Sandfeld

Kristian Sandfeld (born January 17, 1873 in Vejle , † October 22, 1942 ) was a Danish Romanist , Romanist and Balkan linguist.

life and work

Jens Kristian Sandfeld Jensen (from October 31, 1918 without his father's name Jensen) graduated from high school in Vejle in 1871 and then studied in Copenhagen with Vilhelm Thomsen and Kristoffer Nyrop . He completed his habilitation with Rumaenske Studier. I. Infinitive og udtrykkene derfor i Rumaensk og Balkansprogene, en sammenlignende undersøgelse , Copenhagen 1900. Sandfeld was professor of Romance philology in Copenhagen from 1914 until his death.
