In 1972 Kristina Albertus became the GDR hall champion in the long jump

Kristina Albertus (* 14. October 1945 in Radebeul as Kristina Hauer ) is a former athlete from the German Democratic Republic (GDR). She won three GDR championship titles in the long jump .

The athlete from SC Einheit Dresden started under her maiden name until 1969. In 1966, she took third place at the GDR championships in the hall. In 1967 she reached the second place behind Bärbel Löhnert with 6.16 m outdoors , in 1968 she jumped again indoors and outdoors to third place. In 1969 she won indoors with 6.05 m and outdoors with 6.40 m. At the European Championships in 1969 she reached the final and jumped to eighth place with a wind-assisted 6.19 m.

After a third place at the GDR Open Air Championships in 1971, she won the indoor title in 1972 with 6.46 m. In the outdoor season Kristina Albertus jumped 6.58 m personal best and with 6.46 m she finished second behind Angelika Liebsch in the GDR championships . At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, Kristina Albertus only managed one valid jump, with 6.01 m she was eliminated from the qualification. In 1973 Kristina Albertus took second place behind Angela Schmalfeld at the GDR championships both indoors and outdoors .

After her career, Kristina Albertus worked as a sports teacher at the TU Dresden . With a height of 1.69 m, her competition weight was 60 kg.
