Kristina Keneally

Kristina Keneally , née Kerscher (born December 19, 1968 in Las Vegas , Nevada , USA ) is an Australian politician with the Australian Labor Party . She was Prime Minister of New South Wales from December 4, 2009 . After a landslide-like election defeat in March 2011, she resigned from office. During the election campaign she had spoken out in favor of a tax on carbon dioxide emissions, which was not well received. Barry O'Farrell was her successor . Kristina Keneally has been a MP for Redfern and Waterloo since 2008 . Since 2003 she has been a member of the New South Wales Parliament for the Heffron constituency, and from 2007-2009 she held several ministerial posts in the New South Wales government.
