Kristofer "Doffen" Hæstad (born December 9, 1983 ) is a Norwegian football player . The midfielder made his debut for the Norwegian national team in 2005 .

Career

Hæstad played in his youth for Randesund IL and FK Vigør . From there he moved on to IK Start . In 2001 he made his debut for the club in the second division and made promotion to the first division . Despite the direct relegation, he remained loyal to the club and managed to return to the elite class with him in 2004.

As a regular player, Hæstad made it to the Norwegian national team in 2005, and he was able to stay in the squad. As a result, he also made international attention and was loaned to English first division club Wigan Athletic from January to March 2007 , but was only used there three times in the Premier League . After his return he played for IK Start until the end of the season, before moving on to league rivals Vålerenga IF after relegation .
