Kristoffer Domeij

Kristoffer Domeij (born October 5, 1982 in San Diego , † October 22, 2011 in the province of Kandahar , Afghanistan ) was an American soldier.

Life

Domeij, born 1982 in San Diego , gained media attention after his death because he was killed as the soldier with the most combat deployments ("battle deployments"). The Sergeant 1st Class in 2003 was also at the themed in the media rescue of Private Jessica Lynch involved.

Domeij has served in the military since summer 2001, of which he spent 48 months in combat missions in Iraq and Afghanistan, most recently in the rank of Sergeant 1st Class. He is part of the group that rescued Jessica Lynch from a hospital in Baghdad in 2003 . During his 14th combat mission, he was named First Lt. Ashley White (24) and Pvt. 1st Class Christopher A. Horns (20) killed by an improvised explosive device .

Among other things, he was awarded the Bronze Star three times .

Kristoffer Domeij was married and had two daughters.
