Kristoffer Halvorsen (born April 13, 1996 in Kristiansand ) is a Norwegian cyclist.

Athletic career

As a junior rider, Kristoffer Halvorsen decided on one stage each of the Tour of Istria and the Trofeo Karlsberg in 2013 . He was predicted to have a brilliant career, but then developed a protracted “mysterious illness” and was unable to compete in races for a long time.

In 2016 he won stages in several races in the U23 class as well as the Grand Prix d'Isbergues . In the Norwegian elite road championships he finished third behind Edvald Boasson Hagen and Alexander Kristoff , and in the U23 race he was runner-up. After these successes, Halvorsen became one of the favorites for the U23 road race at the 2016 UCI Road World Championships in Doha , and won the world championship race in the mass sprint of the peloton .

After winning the Handzame Classic one-day race and a stage as well as the points classification of the Tour de l'Avenir in 2017 , he switched to UCI WorldTeam Sky for the 2018 season , for which he won a stage of the Herald Sun Tour in 2019 and placed sixth in the UCI WorldTour competition Driedaagse Brugge -The breakdown was made.

For the 2020 season, Halvorsen switched to the EF Pro Cycling team .
