Krogh is a Lower Saxon and Danish noble family . It originally comes from the area of ​​the Archbishopric of Bremen-Verden (13th century), which came to Denmark in the 17th century. The spelling of the name changed between Krogh, Kroghe, Croghe, Kroge, Krough, Krog, Krug etc.

history

The line of trunks begins in Lüneburg in the 16th century . As part of the German-Danish conflict , after 1864 some family members joined the Prussian nobility. Part of the noble family is also common in Norway and Canada .

Friedrich Emil August von Krogh bought the Groß Weeden estate and brickworks in 1895 . There he had a mansion built in the baroque style in 1914. In 1987, after a bitter legal dispute, ownership was transferred to the state of Schleswig-Holstein and the city of Hamburg.
