Krogh Island is an 8 km long island west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It belongs to the Biscoe Islands and is located immediately west of the southern section of the Lavoisier Island . It bounds Lewis Sound to the north and the Wladigerow Passage to the west.
It was mapped using aerial photographs taken by the Falkland Islands and Dependencies Aerial Survey Expedition (1956–1957). The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1960 after the Danish physiologist August Krogh (1874–1949), who was awarded the 1920 Nobel Prize for Medicine .
