The Kromi Logistik AG (proper spelling KROMI) is a trading and logistics company for cutting tools for metal and plastic processing, based in Hamburg .

The company acts as a service provider for mechanical engineering, aerospace companies and automotive suppliers and supplies customers with operating resources, in particular with sophisticated cutting tools directly on the production machines. Since 1997, Kromi Logistik AG has also been on the market with logistical concepts that, in addition to traditional trading, include the simplification of the entire ordering process.

Company logo until 2019

Today's Kromi Logistik AG goes back to the trading company Kro llmann & Mi ttelstädt KG, which was founded in 1964 and sold drilling and milling tools from Klenk (solid carbide drilling and milling tools) in northern Germany. From 1990, the product plate was expanded to include indexable inserts from WIDIA (now part of Kennametal Holding GmbH) and HSS tools from Gühring oHG from Albstadt .

In 1997 the subsidiary Kromi Zerspanungswerkzeuge GmbH was founded in Magdeburg and the new company headquarters was built in Hamburg-Langenhorn . In 2000, the KTC tool center (tool dispenser ) was launched on the basis of a consignment warehouse.

On November 1, 2002, the sub-area that was supposed to set up a logistics network was spun off from the Krollmann & Mittelstädt GmbH holding company as Kromi Logistik GmbH and converted into a stock corporation (Kromi Logistik AG) in 2006. The other sub-division of Krollmann & Mittelstädt GmbH operates today as Tarpenring 11 Vermögensverwaltungs GmbH . On March 8, 2007, the shares of Kromi Logistik AG were listed for the first time in the Prime Standard . In the 2018/2019 financial year, the company and its 200 employees generated sales of EUR 74.9 million.
