Krotalon
The Krotalon (plural Krotala ; Greek "Klapper") is an ancient idiophone .
It is constructed with two movable and interconnected legs and is made of dull-sounding material, such as B. wood . Like the castanets, the krotalon was used for the rhythmic accompaniment of dance and singing, both for orgiastic feasts and for children's play . The name and type of construction are modified in today's Crotales .
