The Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited (short: KTB, Thai : ธนาคาร กรุง ไทย - Thanakan Krung Thai, Chinese 鷹 泰 銀行 ) is the third largest bank in Thailand.
Krung Thai Bank has total assets (as of December 31, 2010) of around € 41 billion. Krung Thai has 962 branches with 8,028 ATMs domestically and seven branches abroad, in Kunming , Los Angeles , Mumbai , Phnom Penh , Singapore and Vientiane . The company's headquarters are in Watthana District , Bangkok . The chairman of the supervisory board is Sathit Limpongpan, the chairman of the board of directors is Payungsak Chartsutipol, and the managing director is Apisak Tantivorawong.

The Krung Thai Bank was founded by the Thai government: in 1966, under the aegis of the Ministry of Finance, it merged the Agricultural Bank and the Provincial Bank as the main shareholder . In 1987 the Siam Bank was also dissolved and its assets transferred to Krung Thai . In 1989, Krung Thai was finally listed on the Thai Stock Exchange and is listed there in the SET Index . The Thai state still remains an indirect majority shareholder (January 2012: 55.12% held through the Thai Financial Institutions Development Fund ).
