Krzysztof Baculewski

Krzysztof Baculewski (born December 16, 1950 in Warsaw ) is a Polish composer and music teacher.

Life

Baculewski studied composition with Witold Rudziński at the Warsaw Music Academy until 1974 and continued his training with Olivier Messiaen and in the Groupe de recherches musicales with Pierre Schaeffer . From 1977 to 1980 he taught at the Musicological Institute of the University of Warsaw . Since 1980 he has been teaching conducting and music theory at the Warsaw Music Academy, since 2001 as a professor.

Baculewaki composed chamber music, orchestral works, electroacoustic music and stage works. He has authored two books on contemporary Polish music and music reviews.
