Krzysztof Klicki

Krzysztof Klicki (* 1962) is a Polish entrepreneur. He is the founder and majority owner of the press distribution company Kolporter SA , which is one of the 100 largest companies in Poland with a turnover of around 1 billion euros. Klicki is counted among the richest Poles. His fortune was estimated at around 150 million euros in the annually updated list of the rich in the Polish edition of Forbes magazine in 2013, placing him in 32nd place on this list.

Life

Klicki attended the V. general high school ( V LO im. Ks. Piotra Ściegiennego ) in Kielce . He began his studies at the Politechnika Świętokrzyska , and in 1990 he moved to the physics faculty of the Pedagogical University ( Instytut Fizyki Wyższej Szkoły Pedagogicznej , today: Uniwersytet Jana Kochanowskiego w Kielcach ), also in Kielce. Klicki has been married since leaving school and has three daughters. Parallel to his studies, he began delivering the Gazeta Wyborcza newspaper in 1989 . In 1990 he founded the Kolporter company , which operated as a press wholesaler .

Klicki is a football fan. Under him, Kolporter became the main sponsor of the Korona Kielce football club in 2002 . When there were arrests in the club in 2008 for suspected corruption and game manipulation, Klicki ended Kolporter's involvement with the club. In addition to football, the entrepreneur is interested in tennis, alpine skiing, sailing, sports bridges and mountain hiking.

In 2000, Klicki was awarded the Kielce City Prize of Honor ( Nagroda Miasta Kielce ) for his services to Kielce.
