Kuala Sepetang ( Chinese : 十八 丁) is a small town on the coast of Perak in Malaysia . It is also called Port Weld (Chinese: 砵 威) after Frederick Weld , a former governor of the Straits Settlements .

There used to be a station for the Johore wooden railroad , but only the ticket office, which is now used as a cafe, and a station sign have survived . Today fishing and the production of charcoal play an important role alongside tourism.
