Culture Prize of the City of St. Gallen
The City of St. Gallen's Culture Prize has been awarded every four years since 1954. It is endowed with CHF 25,000 and will be presented at a public ceremony.
The cultural award can be awarded to creative artists from all cultural areas, to scientific, journalistic, educational and social workers as well as to other persons who have made a special contribution to promoting the general cultural life of the city, if the persons either:
- have the citizenship of the city of St. Gallen ,
- grew up here
- have lived here for at least ten years,
- or if their work is of particular importance for the city of St. Gallen.
