The Kuna River is a right tributary of the Colville River in northern Alaska .

Its source is on the northern flank of the Brooks range on the northern edge of the Noatak National Preserve . It flows in a north-northeast direction and flows 32 km northeast of Liberator Lake into the Colville River, which flows through the North Slope to the Arctic Ocean . The Kuna River is one of many rivers and streams that feed the Colville River from the Brooks range.

The name of the river goes to PS Smith and JB Mertie Jr. from the United States Geological Survey back to the native Alaskan name for the snow geese , which are common in the region.
