Kunowsky lunar crater, captured by Apollo 12

Kunowsky is an impact crater on the western front of the moon on the edge of the Mare Insularum . It is located southeast of the Kepler crater and southwest of Copernicus .

The inside of the crater is flooded by the lavas of the surrounding mare , so that a flat crater level is surrounded by a relatively low, hardly eroded rim.
