Plastic hammer, non-kickback

The plastic hammer (or mallet) is a hammer whose heads are made of plastic (e.g. nylon ). It is often used to position and align machines or assembled workpieces and to process soft metals. This tool is mainly used in metal workshops.

The advantage of this tool is that, unlike a rubber hammer , it transmits shock- like force, but still does not damage the material of the steel or metal workpiece to be positioned, which would be the case with a hammer with a steel head.

In addition, a plastic hammer is almost kickback-free (anti-reflex hammer) if a cavity in its head is filled with sand or shotgun pellets. Hammers with a pendulum weight in their head are completely free of kickback.
