Kurganmaschsawod ( Russian Курганмашзавод ; short for Kurganski maschinostroitelny sawod , Russian Курганский машиностроительный завод ) is a Russian tank factory in Kurgan .

It was founded in 1950 as a manufacturer of heavy-duty cranes and belonged to the Traktornyje Sawody concern . In 2017, the Kremlin transferred operational management to the state armaments holding Rostec . Among other things, the BMP-3 and Kurganez-25 armored personnel carriers are produced .

The company is facing bankruptcy. The plant suffered a loss of seven billion rubles (almost 100 million euros) in 2017 while fulfilling a state armaments contract.
