The Kurikoma-Quasi-National Park jap. (栗駒国定公園 , Kurikoma Kokutei Kōen ) is a quasi-national park in the region Tohoku in Japan . Established on July 22, 1968, the park covers an area of ​​approx. 771 km² and extends over the prefectures of Akita , Iwate , Miyagi and Yamagata . With the IUCN Category II, the park area is classified as a national park . Akita , Iwate, and Yamagata prefectures are responsible for managing the park.
