Saxon all-mile column in Adorf

The electoral Saxon whole mile column Adorf is one of the Saxon post mile columns , on behalf of the Elector Frederick Augustus I of Saxony by the land and border commissioner Adam Friedrich Zürner in the first half of the 18th century in the Electorate of Saxony have been built. It is located on the lawn between Elsterstrasse ( Bundesstrasse 92 ) and Weißer Elster , south of the Elsterbrücke ( Bundesstrasse 283 towards Markneukirchen) in the Vogtland town of Adorf / Vogtl. in the Vogtland district .

history

The full mile column bears the year 1725 and the row number 76. It was located 19 miles from Dresden on the Poststrasse via Bad Elster and after Asch to Eger . No parts of the original column have survived. The current column is, like the Saxon quarter milestone Adorf, a replica from 1997.
