Kurt Bonah
Kurt Bonah (* 1928 ) is a German athlete and multiple German champion.
biography
Bonah trained at Werder Bremen in the 1950s and 1960s . He ran over 400 meters , 400 meters hurdles , 800 meters and 1000 meters . Over 400 meter hurdles he still holds the Bremen state record with 51.5 or 51.6 s, which was also the German record from 1954 to 1958 (as of 2019). He reached u. a. the following placements:
- German Championships in Bremen in 1949 : Third over 800 meters in 1: 53.7 min
- German championships 1950 in Stuttgart: First place with the 3 x 1000 meter relay from Werder Bremen (Hans Wever, Karl Kluge , Kurt Bonah) in 7: 28.2 min
- German championships in Berlin in 1952 : third over 400 meters in 48.6 s
- German Championships 1953 in Augsburg: fourth over 400 meter hurdles in 54.7 s
- German championships in Hamburg in 1954 : first over 400 meter hurdles in 53.0 s and fourth over 400 meters in 48.9 s
- 1954 European Championships in Bern: He was eliminated from the men's 400 meter hurdles in the semi-finals.
- German Indoor Championships 1955 in Kiel: First place for the 4 × 3 rounds of Werder Bremen (Werner Bazalla, Karl Kluge, Peters, Kurt Bonah).
- German Championships 1956 in Berlin: First over 400 meter hurdles in 52.9 s
