Kurt Hempel

Kurt Hempel (born September 23, 1894 in Kröllwitz ; † unknown) was a German politician ( SPD , USPD , KPD , SED ) and engineer .

Hempel was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Prussian Province of Saxony from 1921 to 1922 . From 1930 to 1937 he was technical director in a combine in the Soviet Union , where he also completed an engineering degree and was awarded a Dr.-Ing. PhD . After the Second World War he was briefly employed as deputy district administrator in the district of Jerichow II . In March 1946, he became Vice President of the Central Commission on Sequestration and Seizure . In 1947 he resigned from this office. In 1952 he left the GDR .
