Kurt Hombach (born November 28, 1943 , † January 12, 2011 ) was a German boxer . He was the German welterweight champion of professional boxer.
Life
Hombach's career as a professional boxer lasted from September 1969 to April 1976. In mid-November 1972 he won the German welterweight championship by defeating Klaus Steinmetz . In April 1973, the Offenbacher defeated the challenger Karl Furcht as the reigning champion . After a victory in May 1973, there was a month-long break from fighting, after which he played nine more fights, of which he lost eight and was a draw. In the course of his career he boxed not only at combat events in Germany, but also in Belgium , Denmark , France , Italy , Austria and Switzerland .
His twin brother Randolph was also a German boxing champion. Both were coached by Walter Fischer.
