Kurt Lehmkuhl

Kurt Lehmkuhl (born February 3, 1952 in Übach-Palenberg ) is a German journalist and writer .

life and work

Lehmkuhl studied law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . Since 1982 he has been working as an editor at the newspaper publishing house Aachen , from 1986 to 2004 he was local manager of the Erkelenzer Volkszeitung , since then he has been the editor of the Heinsberger Zeitung. His books, which have been published since 1997, mostly crime novels, deal, among other things, with local events in the Cologne - Aachen area, such as the Aachen Charlemagne Prize , the not uncontroversial Garzweiler open-cast coal mine or the award of the order against seriousness in Aachen.

Lehmkuhl is an ideal participant in hkl-Verlag , which was founded in 2009 and in which three anthologies with short stories by various authors were published in 2009, 2011 and 2014 , which were developed from an adult education course . The proceeds of 30,000 euros were donated to the hospice of the Hermann Josef Foundation in Erkelenz.

Lehmkuhl is married, has two children and lives in Erkelenz . He is a member of the " Syndicate ", an association of German-speaking crime writers.
