Kurt Lindner sr. (* March 10, 1877 in Großenhain ; † April 6, 1966 in Eggolsheim ) was a German entrepreneur. From 1902 he managed the porcelain factory for electrical accessories he had taken over as "Lindner & Co" (today ELSO ) in Sondershausen .

Lindner, elected to the local council on December 15, 1909, and in 1920 to the city council and department head of the food office, was highly respected because of the many generous donations, such as for a Diakoniestation in Jecha , the Karl Günther School and the new bells of the St. Trinity Church . For the 25th anniversary of his company, he was given honorary citizenship of the city of Sondershausen in 1927. On March 11, 1946, the Soviet occupying forces dismantled the entire plant and in 1948 the plant was expropriated. The now penniless family then moved to Eggolsheim, where a branch had existed since 1938. Kurt Lindner's son, the entrepreneur and hunting scientist Kurt Lindner (1906–1987), was born in Sondershausen and attended the humanistic grammar school there.
