Kurt Mitterndorfer

Kurt Mitterndorfer (born February 24, 1951 in Linz ) is an Austrian pedagogue, author and cabaret artist.

Life

After graduating from high school in 1969, he studied sociology at the University of Linz and from 1972 worked as an educator at the Voest-Alpine apprentice home in Linz. In 1977 he broke off his studies and began training as a youth worker, and in 1980 he studied at the Pedagogical Academy in Linz. In 1983 he became a secondary school teacher for German and handicrafts. In 1972 Mitterndorfer founded a photo club for artistic photography, in 1973 a theater group in the VA apprentice home: “Apprentice Theater”, later as an independent theater group “Our Theater”, one of the most successful impromptu theaters in Austria at the time. 1979–1983 he was involved in the band project “Flying Penis Brothers” (a “political punk rock cabaret”); 1981–1983 at the “Linzer Rockhaus”, today's Posthof . From 1973 he also submitted literary texts.
