Kurt Rehkopf

Kurt Rehkopf (born May 30, 1939 in Hanover ) is a German politician of the FDP and a craftsman. For several years he was a member of the state parliament of Lower Saxony and its vice-president from 1986 to 1994.

Life

Kurt Rehkopf was born into a family of craftsmen who ran a plumbing business in Wunstorf as early as the 19th century . He attended the Luther School in Hanover , then completed an apprenticeship and was acquitted on April 19, 1957 as a journeyman baker. He later attended the master school and in 1963 founded his own business as a master baker and confectioner in Wunstorf, which he ran until 2005 and then sold.

In 1964 he joined the FDP and was elected to the council of the city of Wunstorf in 1968. He has held this mandate without interruption ever since. From 1976 to 1986 he was First Deputy Mayor. From 1974 to 1978 (8th electoral term) and from 1982 to 1994 (10th to 12th electoral term) he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament for the FDP, from 1986 to 1994 he was vice-president of the state parliament.

Kurt Rehkopf was President of the Lower Saxony Crafts Association and President of the Lower Saxony Chamber of Crafts. From 1989 to 1994 he was alternately president of the Lower Saxony Crafts Day (NHT), from 1994 to 2007 he was its sole president. In 2007 he was elected honorary president.

Kurt Rehkopf is a member of the board of the Tagestreff Wunstorf association (aid for the homeless) and has been the church council of the ev.-luth since 2006. Wunstorf collegiate church .

Kurt Rehkopf is married and has three children.
