Kurt Trampedach

Kurt Trampedach (born May 13, 1943 in Hillerød ; † November 12, 2013 in Sare , France ) was a Danish painter and sculptor .

Becoming and working

After training as a painter joined by Kurt ran Trampedach 1964-1969 study art at the Royal Academy of Art in Copenhagen , among others, Dan Sterup-Hansen and Søren Hjort Nielsen. The artistic breakthrough came at the end of the 1960s. Since 1979 Trampedach lived and worked in the French Basque Country .

He was mainly known for graphic works and paintings, but sculptures also made up an essential part of his artistic production. Trampedach often made self-portraits. His wife was often his model.
