Kurt Uhlig (actor)

Kurt Uhlig (born April 27, 1887 ; † December 6, 1943 in Kassel ) was a German actor . He also worked as a co-director on the silent film Woman (1920).

Life

He worked at the Royal Theater in Kassel. Uhlig was considered one of the best actors in Kassel and often played the youthful hero. In the First World War he was awarded the Iron Cross, Second Class. Kurt Uhlig died of a heart attack in December 1943.

Uhlig was married to the opera singer Margarete Maschmann , their daughter was the actress Anneliese Uhlig .
