Kurt Wöhler

Kurt Wöhler (born January 9, 1924 in Königsberg , East Prussia , † December 14, 2006 ) was a German lawyer , administrative officer and politician ( FDP ).

Life and work

After graduation Kurt Wohler took up studies in law, which he in 1950 with the first and 1953 with the second state exam as well as the promotion of Dr. jur. finished. He entered the judiciary, had been an assistant judge since 1953 and became a judge in 1954. From 1958 he worked as a district judge, from 1964 as district court director (presiding judge) at the district court of Wuppertal . From 1967 to 1974 he acted as President of the Wuppertal / Remscheid / Solingen district police authority . He also participated in the founding of the White Ring victim protection association .

politics

Wöhler joined the FDP in 1961 and was later deputy chairman of the FDP district association in Wuppertal for 20 years. From May 20, 1974 until his retirement on October 31, 1982, he was State Secretary in the Ministry of Justice in the governments of North Rhine-Westphalia led by Prime Ministers Heinz Kühn and Johannes Rau .
