Kurt Waschow

Kurt Waschow (born February 19, 1881 in Bromberg , † 1956 in Berlin ) was a German public prosecutor and judge.

Life

Waschow studied law at the University of Jena . In 1900 he became active in the Corps Franconia Jena at the suggestion of Hans Gärtner . On November 16, 1900 recipiert , he proved to be twice as Subsenior . He was born on February 28, 1902 disabled and on November 21, 1903 philistriert . In 1903 he entered the Prussian judicial service. The Royal University of Greifswald doctorate him in 1909 to Dr. iur. From 1912 to 1921 he was a public prosecutor at the Prenzlau regional court . He was a senior public prosecutor at the Gleiwitz Regional Court from 1923 to 1927 and at the Breslau Higher Regional Court from 1927 to 1935 . Since 1935 member of the chamber judge at the chamber court , he was dismissed in 1943 due to the Nuremberg laws . He was reinstated as a chamber judge in 1945 and promoted to president of the Senate in 1948 . With the establishment of the 5th Criminal Senate of the Federal Court of Justice in Berlin, Waschow was appointed as a federal judge in this Senate. In early 1953 he was its deputy chairman. He retired on June 30, 1953 at the age of 72.
