Kurt Winter (politician)

Kurt Winter (born February 4, 1931 in Aschersleben ) is a former German politician ( SED ). He was chairman of the District Party Control Commission (BPKK) Cottbus of the SED.

Life

Winter, the son of a working-class family, attended elementary school and completed an apprenticeship as a book printer . Then he works in this profession.

In 1945 he joined the KPD , in 1946 he became a member of the SED. In 1949 he joined the German People's Police (DVP). 1949/50 Winter studied at the Politoffiziersschule in Torgau , 1955/56 at the Politoffiziersschule Berlin . Until 1956 he was a member of the DVP, the main intelligence department and the barracked people's police, from 1956 of the National People's Army, there major of the armored forces .

1958/59 Winter was an employee of the Spremberg district leadership of the SED, then from 1959 to 1961 an employee of the BPKK Cottbus. After studying at the party college "Karl Marx" (1961–1964), which he graduated as a social scientist, Winter worked from 1964 to 1966 as an operational instructor for the Cottbus district management of the SED. In 1966 he became a member of the BPKK. From September 1969 to 1989 Winter was chairman of the BPKK (successor to Heinrich Mosler, who died in August 1969), a member of the district management and since February 1974 a member of the SED's Cottbus district management secretariat.
