Lázár Lovász
Lázár Lovász (born May 24, 1942 in Ţibeni ) is a former Hungarian hammer thrower .
The 1.89 m tall and 99 kg heavy athlete achieved his greatest success at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City . With a personal best of 69.78 m, he won the bronze medal behind his compatriot Gyula Zsivótzky (73.36 m) and Romuald Klim (73.28 m), who started for the Soviet Union .
In addition, Lovász won in 1968 as a guest at the open British championships and finished sixth at the European Athletics Championships in Budapest in 1966 and in Athens in 1969 .
