Léo Deschâtelets

Léo Deschâtelets OMI (born March 8, 1899 in Montreal , Canada , † November 1, 1974 ) was a Canadian Oblate of the Immaculate Virgin Mary .

Léo Deschâtelets made his first vows in 1919 and in 1922 his perpetual vows in the community of the Oblates of the Immaculate Virgin Mary. In 1925 he was ordained a priest. For superior general , he was elected 1947th He held this office until 1972. He took part in the Second Vatican Council as a council father . He died on November 1, 1974 at the age of 75.
