Léon-Désiré-Paulin-François-Joseph Bievez (born March 6, 1889 , † February 16, 1951 ) was a lieutenant general in the Belgian armed forces .

Life

Bievez completed an officer training and found various uses in the army after graduating . He was promoted to colonel on March 26, 1938 and was Chief of Staff of the 7th Army Corps between 1939 and the beginning of the attack by the German Wehrmacht in 1940. After the end of the Second World War he was in command of the province of Hainaut from 1945 to 1947 and was promoted to lieutenant general on June 26, 1947 .
