Léon Pierre Félix (born August 17, 1869 in Périgueux , † 1940 ) was a French genre painter and art teacher.

Léon Pierre Félix was born the son of a coachbuilder. Since he was 12 years old, he suffered from progressive paralysis. From 1888 he studied at the École des beaux-arts de Paris . He became a student of Léon Bonnat , Jules-Charles Aviat , Fernand Cormon , Tony Robert-Fleury and William Bouguereau .

From 1894 he showed his works in the salons of the Société des Artistes Français . At the Paris World Exhibition in 1900 he received an honorable mention, in 1903 a 2nd class medal and in 1908 the Marie Bashkirtseff Prize.

In 1910 he held the post of Peintre Officiel de la Marine . On May 26, 1914, Léon Pierre Félix was made a Knight of the Legion of Honor . He was first a drawing teacher in Orange (Vaucluse) in 1915 , then between 1916 and 1917 at the Lyceum in Nice . In July 1917, during World War I , he was appointed a war painter on the French Eastern Front.

In 1926 he was elected to the jury of the Société des Artistes Français . In the interwar period he often took part in the salons in Périgueux and Paris, where he received two awards in 1921 and 1936. He received an award at the Paris World Exhibition in 1937 .
