Léon Resemann

Léon Resemann ( December 18, 1844 in Cologne - March 18, 1924 ) was a German theater director and theater and film actor .

Life

At the age of 18 he went to the stage. After he first tried his hand at a few small East and West Prussian theaters and had acquired routine acting, he found an engagement in Stettin . This was followed by positions in Düsseldorf, Cologne, Magdeburg and Strasbourg until he was able to join the Association of the St. Petersburg Court Theater, where he remained in an excellent position for ten years. He found an equal artistic position at the City Theater in Breslau . After eight years of being the star of the theater ensemble, he spent the next six years as a guest artist. In 1895 he bought the Szczecin Bellevue Theater and worked there in the dual capacity of theater director and actor. The further path of life after 1902 is in the dark, only in 1913 he reappears as a silent film actor. The place of death is unknown. He died at the age of 79.
